Game Night with Pictionary Air

As Noah has gotten older, we’ve been slowly introducing him to some board games. He is only 5 years old, so not all games are possible right now. He was so excited to try his hand at Pictionary Air TM. I think he was most excited to use the pen that it comes with – who doesn’t want to try drawing in the air? Dad was just as excited to play the game – he had already been eyeing it in the shops, so he was thrilled when it was delivered to us.

We arranged a family games night with Noah’s aunt and uncle, and his two cousins this past weekend, so we could all give Pictionary Air TM a try. The kids were so excited to play, and all wanted to have their turn NOW!

We downloaded the app from the App Store, mirrored the phone to the TV (which is something you can do, to make it easier for everyone to see – it definitely comes in handy) and then we attempted to start playing.

It was a bit tricky to figure out how to draw and interact with your drawing at the same time. I had to keep reminding myself that the TV was a mirror, which only seemed to add to the fun of trying to guess the pictures!

The three kids (aged 5, 5 and 8 years old) ended up taking over the game. They had a blast using the pen to draw in the air and guess the pictures. I feel like now we are going to have to organise another games night, just so that us adults can give it a proper try!

We definitely had fun playing Pictionary Air TM, and can’t wait to play it again – well maybe just the adults next time! If you would like to buy the game for yourself, you can have a look on Takealot, or pop into Toy Kingdom, Toys R Us or Makro. Happy playing!

* This is a sponsored post – we were sent the game to play. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
