#BlogBossWinterChallenge Day 1…

I’ve decided to take part in the BlogBoss Winter Blog Challenge, ahead of their 2019 BlogBoss meet up. I attended the event last year, and not only met some awesome bloggers, but also made same wonderful friends. Needless to say, I am so excited for this years event. Plus, their winter blog challenge is just that – a challenge! It’s blogging everyday for 30 days, with each days post being a specific topic. Eek! I know I am a day late, but rather late than never! So here goes – let’s get stuck into day one…

Introduction to me and my blog

For those of you who are new around here, my name is Megan. I am a wife to Jason for almost 10 years this year (where has the time gone?), and mommy to the most gorgeous four-year old little boy named Noah. In April 2015 Jason and I began the adoption process and September 2015 we met the sweetest little baby boy, and we became a forever family. Life sure has been an adventure, with it’s fair share of ups and downs.

Soon after Jason and I got married, we moved from Cape Town to Durban, and were convinced that Durban would be our forever home. We were sure we would put down roots their, start a family and grow old together. But life had other plans. During the 6 years we lived there, we made lifelong friends, some of whom are more like family. However, life had other plans for us, and at the end of 2017 we felt like it was time for us to move back to Cape Town – something we never thought would ever happen!

We’ve been back in Cape Town for about a year and a half now, and boy oh boy it has not been easy. Most days have felt like we’ve taken more knocks than anything else. But, we have not once regretted our decision to move back. We know this is where God wants us for now. Jason is almost done with his accreditation to become a Full Gospel pastor. And from there, who knows where God will lead us – we’re open to just about anything.

As for my blog, well I will go into more detail in tomorrows post. Basically though, this blog is about our adoption journey and life as a family of three. I write about life as a boy mom and all the heart-stopping adventures that come along with that. I love being a mom and sharing a bit of our life on this space.
